Jeffery (Jeff) Caron, has over 20 years of experience as a technology leader in architecting solutions for healthcare, diagnostics, biotech, and pharmaceutical domains. He currently serves as chief software architect for the Life Sciences division of GE Healthcare, developing solutions that enable and accelerate molecular and precision medicine. Jeff originally joined GE as the director of architect for the Cellular Analysis group within Research and Applied Markets specializing in imaging systems, analytics, and cell based models for drug discovery.
Prior to joining the GE Healthcare, Jeff was principal solutions architect for Caradigm (Microsoft) Solutions Group focusing on next-generation data aggregation platforms enabling real-time clinical analytics and population health. During this time, Jeff led the development of cloud and enterprise solutions for Providence Health & Services, Gesenger Health Plan, University of Washington, and Pharmaceutical Product Development Corp.
Before joining Caradigm, Jeff served as a technology leader and subject matter expert in digital pathology focusing on computer assisted diagnostics and analytics solutions for leading companies, including Aperio, Dako, Zeiss, Omnyx, and Philips. Prior to consulting, Jeff spent over 10 years working with Clarient (Chromavision) in various software engineering and architecture roles while developing clinical instrumentation, lab workflow solutions, and digital pathology based applications.
Jeff holds patents for methods and systems to analyze images leveraging quantitative assays as well as various image algorithmic techniques for diagnostics and clinical interpretation. Jeff received his Computer Science, Mathematics degrees, and graduate work (specialization in advanced image analysis and visualization) from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
